If youth is so beautiful, it is precisely because it lacks that experience. Experience is nothing more than the summary of all the rectifications that time has elapsed, as time has passed, we have been making the beautiful concept that we have formed of life and of our fellow men, since we enter into possession of our own faculties. Alvaro Obregon

To talk about adolescence is to enter one of the periods of physical, psychological, sexual and social changes, which frame the lives of young people as subjects of rights in the sociocultural fields in a nation, and the world. However, adolescence remains a life cycle in which the adolescent is not recognized as is done with the child. Just look that there is still talk of a population of “Ados ”, media expression that tends to isolate young individuals by typecasting them in an age type. What has generated controversies between psychologists, sociologists and endocrinologists-neurologists, which have limited it to a period of ages. When it is appropriate to create agreements that allow this type of inconvenience to be overcome in order to consider adolescents from all dimensions.

From that perspective, adolescence is a phase of mutation in which the adolescent goes through a series of enormous vital changes to become an adult, and while this happens, this adolescent is charged with anguish or full of indulgence. That is how the adolescence phase is prolonged according to the projections that young people receive from adults and society regarding limits of exploration. Then, adults must be there to help adolescents to enter into responsibilities and prevent them from becoming subjects that lack criteria when dealing with different issues in a context. Likewise, secondary people play an important role in the education of young people during this period. Although they are not in charge of providing such education, everything they do can favor the expansion of confidence in their strengths to overcome their fears or vice versa; Stimulate discouragement and depression.

Adolescence and sex life

Dolto (1990) mentions the imaginary that teenagers have who have not assumed a sexual life through masturbation. Imaginary that they assume before their discomfort with adult reality due to lack of self-confidence, where masturbation becomes his incentive and at the same time a trap, trap because they download nervously and have greater difficulty in assuming reality, and overcome those imaginary deficiencies that have been encouraged by inappropriate phrases. However, since this satisfaction comes from the imagination, it lacks the strength to go in search of reality. To that extent, love relationships become spaces where young people can experience all kinds of feelings for a person who helps them make themselves. According to Dolto (1990), the transcendental event that marks the break with the state of childhood is the possibility of dissociating the imaginary life from reality; the dream of real relationships. Which means that adolescents become figures that allow to build solid projections from the different areas that make up their lives. This is how the family will continue to be the fundamental axis in the consolidation of dreams and goals without forgetting that adolescents are the ones who decide their walk.

The teenager as a transformer

Finally, adolescence becomes the stage in which adolescents need to clarify everyday phenomena that allow them to create future projections. Framed by the continuous dialogue with their parents, who should be emitters of permanent reflections in favor of the construction of a young man capable of transforming his reality and that of the environment in which he lives. That is, the interaction with others plays an essential role in the consolidation of the adolescent's personality. Interaction that must occur on the basis of respect that allows accepting tastes and interests that help to recognize peculiar characteristics that adolescents have. Accepting indispensable tools that enable them to structure their lives, assuming that they are citizens of the world that does not belong only to themselves, to their family, to their friends, etc., because what they do and say affect a collective. In that sense the family will continue to be a starting point in the adolescence stage. That starting point should be consolidated in the dialogue, respect and trust, taking into account that they are young people who are taking different perspectives that will allow them to build their own. Without fear to make judgments for not continuing with the expectations that parents had about them. On the contrary, their decisions should be taken as raw material when establishing themselves as subjects of rights, capable of expressing thoughts and feelings in their favor and in their community. In other words, reformers of the universe to which they are enrolled. The only key tool to make this possible is the communication process characterized by reciprocal learning which tests all the social and cultural factors of which teenagers and parents are permeated.
